My business, The Write Solution grew from seeds planted more than twenty years ago when I volunteered for The Woman’s Center of Wake County as a career adviser. After completing a twelve-week training course, I assisted clients in crafting interview-landing resumes and coached them through the search process.
I spent twenty-five years holding positions in manufacturing, inventory control and finally running the order processing / customer service department for Square D Company in Knightdale, NC before accepting a position with Chloride Systems as their customer service manager. After leaving Chloride Systems, I spent two years as a contingency executive recruiter. While recruiting, my passion for writing and helping others reignited and the rest, as they say, is history. Started in 2002, my business, The Write Solution, is a natural merger of my training, education, experience and career industry knowledge.
Using my extensive background and targeted questioning, I uncover hidden talents from a wide variety of clients. I present skills in a compelling manner and boost client confidence in the process. I’m privileged to be included in Arnold Boldt’s book, Resumes for the Rest of Us. I’m also honored to have job search tweets included in The Twitter Job Search Guide, by Susan Whitcomb, Chandlee Bryan and Deb Dib. I’m quoted in Steve Weber’s Wired for Work. Three of my resumes appear in Pat Criscito’s book, Resumes that Pop: Designs that Reflect your Personal Brand and one in Evelyn Salvador’s Step-by-Step Resumes: Build an Outstanding Resume in 10 Easy Steps. I also contributed Twitter etiquette guidelines for Miriam Salpeter’s new book, Social Networking for Career Success: Using Online Tools to Create a Personal Brand and job search guidance for Shahrzad Arasteh’s, Nourish your Career.
A Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and credentials through Career Directors International, as a Certified Master Resume Writer (CMRW), The Career Management Alliance as a Master Resume Writer, (MRW) one of only 27, worldwide and The Professional Association of Resume Writers as a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW) round out my expertise.
In addition to a thriving business, I blog and proudly affiliate with colleagues, contributing job search and career guidance across the internet (Google my name. You’ll see.) And I am fortunate to have a close “inner circle” of career professionals as part of a group of certified professional resume writers, (originally dubbed the The Resume Chicks on a blog talk radio show.) I also tweet job search advice daily (@DawnBugni) and am included on many “Career People to Follow” lists on Twitter. I stay current with career industry trends through continuing education, a strong social media network, and solid professional affiliations as a member of Career Directors International, The National Resume Writer’s Association and The Professional Association of Resume Writers.
