I am new to blogging, so I feel like I am in the “just taking notes” phase. But when I do find a blog topic I like, I do comment because I genuinely like what has been said or the information was helpful to me. I am officially linked to your blog now, so I will be checking in often! Thanks for all the great advice.

Sage advice because you're not trying to give advice. You've shared what you've learned works for you and how and why. We've all been in that place called "despair" and we need the kick in the butt to keep going. I value your humor and wisdom and know so many others do, too.

Dawn,
Great post! I loved this line: "I’ve also found, when you notice one good thing, two or three other good things show up, eager for attention too." Me too! The ripple effect of our own intention to find and 'grab on' to good is ... well, relieving and reverberating.

Yes, life tosses a few lemons our way from time to time, and no, sometimes those lemons don't convert to lemonade right then and there, but truly, I believe, good outweighs bad, overall. Just looking at the nature around us, from time to time, the brilliance of s sunset, the beauty of animals, etc., we can find that happy point from which to start feeling and thinking hopeful thoughts again.

Well done!

Laurie -

We are so blessed and yet take so much for granted. Sitting quietly for a moment and recognizing how much we have rather than focusing on what we don't have is a great way start changing perspective. Some days it's easier to be grateful than others. It's especially important on the difficult days to pause and say thanks. Thanks for stopping by and being a positive spot in my day.

Thanks Gayle. Remembering to say nice things to me is one of the more difficult life tasks. We're all we've got and we spend the day berating and belittling ourselves. It's crazy. Thanks for adding to the conversation. Now go tell yourself you're wonderful. Because you are! :)

Dawn, I read many of your #dailygratitudes on Twitter - and you make a great point. The process of starting your day off by recognizing something positive in your life can help set the tone for the day. That concept has such great potential to affect a job seeker's attitude. Great post, as always!
